Jack and Kendra’s July wedding at White Birch Wedding Barn was such a beautiful summer celebration! From their sweet first looks to their golden hour portraits, the day was filled with meaningful moments and plenty of fun. As a Jackson MI Photographer, I loved capturing their wedding day at this beautiful venue, with its modern barn setting, spacious grounds, and so many wonderful photo spots.
Jack and Kendra actually met in pilot school, as they are both pilots! I had the pleasure of photographing their sailboat engagement session on Lake Michigan in northern Michigan, so it was especially exciting to photograph their wedding, too. They also chose to use one of their engagement photos for their wedding invitations!
Getting Ready and First Looks
The morning started with Kendra getting ready alongside her bridesmaids, who wore adorable matching light blue short sets while she wore a pretty white satin slip dress. Kendra then changed into her beautiful fitted lace wedding gown, featuring a deep V-neckline, delicate straps, and intricate floral detailing. She shared a fun dress reveal with her bridesmaids before having a sweet first look with her dad. Her mom joined them afterward for a few special family portraits.
Kendra’s bridesmaids wore floor-length light blue dresses in different styles, each with its own pretty details. Her bouquet featured white and soft blue flowers, fresh greenery, and a sentimental photo charm. Jack looked classic in a black suit with a white shirt and black tie, while his groomsmen wore matching suits with light blue ties.
Before the ceremony, Jack and Kendra shared an emotional first look of their own, complete with a few happy tears. They also exchanged private vows, making the moment even more meaningful.

An Outdoor Ceremony at White Birch Wedding Barn
The outdoor ceremony space at White Birch Wedding Barn was beautifully decorated with white chairs lining the grassy aisle and a white wooden arbor at the front. A crystal chandelier hung above the ceremony space, while white floral arrangements added a lovely touch. Large umbrellas were also opened throughout the seating area to help keep guests comfortable in the July sunshine.
After the ceremony, we captured portraits along the waterfront, where the lush green grass, tall reeds, and boats in the distance created such a pretty backdrop.

A Fun Wedding Reception
Inside White Birch Wedding Barn, the reception space felt bright and modern, with white linens, black chairs, and simple white floral centerpieces. A black-and-white checkered dance floor filled the center of the room, while a large chandelier hung overhead. The wedding party table near the fireplace featured soft blue and white flowers, greenery, and a personalized “The Simpsons, Est. 2026” sign.
One of the most fun moments was Jack and Kendra’s grand entrance from the upstairs balcony! White confetti filled the air as they celebrated above the reception space before making their way downstairs to join their guests.
The couple enjoyed some open dancing before cutting their cake and listening to speeches. Later, we slipped away to explore the grounds for golden hour portraits, which was one of my favorite parts of the entire day!
Afterward, Jack and Kendra returned for their special dances. Kendra also shared a few heartfelt words before enjoying a special dance with her mom. The celebration continued with everyone out on the dance floor!

A Beautiful Michigan Wedding Venue
With nine acres of property, 8,000 square feet of climate-controlled indoor space, and room for up to 260 guests, White Birch Wedding Barn offers plenty of space for a wedding celebration. Its tall ceilings, beautiful chandeliers, and thoughtfully designed spaces make it easy to enjoy both the ceremony and reception in one location.
Jack and Kendra’s wedding was such a joy to photograph, and I loved being part of another special chapter in their story!
