With their wedding ceremony at St. Mark & St. Mary and St. Philopater Coptic Orthodox Church, I knew I was in for an incredible day with the church’s intricate details that provided the perfect backdrop for this ethnic and warm celebration.
Despite the gloomy fall rainy day, the atmosphere was anything but dampened. Michael and Christine’s love and joy radiated, and it was heartwarming to witness their commitment in such a special place.
The ceremony itself was a display of tradition and love. The couple donned robes and crowns, symbolizing their place in their home. From the ornate details of the church to the terracotta dresses worn by the bridesmaids and the beautiful florals, the wedding was full of rich colors that perfectly complemented the autumn day.
In a heartwarming moment, Christine’s dad escorted her down the aisle. Michael met them halfway, symbolizing the beautiful union of their two families. They walked the remainder of the aisle together, initiating a journey to celebrate rich cultural traditions and warm, joyous moments throughout their enchanting Troy Michigan wedding.
Petruzellos, the selected reception venue, was a charming space with a beautiful antique feel. When Michael and Christine entered the celebration, the beat of drums and horns announced their arrival. Their first dance was enchanting, surrounded by fog and cold sparks illuminating the dance floor. The guests exploded with energy when the couple was hoisted on chairs by their wedding party, everyone cheering and celebrating their festive day. This unforgettable display of warmth and joy perfectly captured their union.
