Michigan Fall Wedding at a Private Property | Nicole and Jeff

St. Johns, Michigan Wedding in Fall

Nicole and Jeff had a joyful Michigan Fall Wedding at a Private Property on a beautiful day! The leaves had just started to change, and it was the perfect day for a Michigan wedding!

Nicole and Jeff met at a mutual friend’s 30th birthday party, but she had no interest in him at first. Jeff was persistent, and finally, Nicole had agreed to one date. Once they went on that date, the rest was history! They have three adorable dogs, and they adore them! It was paramount that they made an appearance on their wedding day.

The Nordic Pineapple Bed and Breakfast

Nicole and her bridesmaids got ready at an adorable bed and breakfast in St Johns. They had rented out a spacious room that was quite accommodating for them. The B&B has a charming exterior with white columns and a brick house. I took the girls outside to pop some champagne (always a fun idea!), and the lighting outside was excellent! A ray of sunlight reflected through the trees, illuminating their fall colors. She and her bridesmaids looked adorable wearing their matching satin pajamas, with Nicole wearing white and her bridesmaids wearing an orange shade. I highly recommend getting your bridesmaids matching robes, pajamas, or shirts if you want to splurge. Birdy Grey has some darling options for Bridesmaid Getting Ready Outfits. The Nordic Pineapple Bed and Breakfast was the perfect getting-ready space before the wedding!

Who said first looks have to be between you and your spouse?! Nicole’s bridesmaids lined up outside of The Nordic Pineapple Bed and Breakfast in anticipation of seeing Nicole. Their smiles lit up after the girls turned around, and a few happy tears were shed at how beautiful she looked. After the girls shared a moment, we got ready for the next first look. Nicole cherishes her relationships with her grandmas, so she shared a first look with them! This was one of the most memorable parts of the day, and it was precious to see her grandma’s reactions. I’m always open to the idea of a first look with ANYONE on your wedding day! Just let me know who you would like to have one with, and we will include it in your customized wedding day timeline.

Wedding day Attire:

Nicole’s stunning wedding dress was a floor-length, V-neck gown adorned in lace and embroidery embellishments. Becker’s Bridal, a premier bridal shop in Michigan, provided her gown! They’ve got over 2,000 dresses in stock from all different designers. Nicole’s bridesmaids wore a mix of fall color dresses from Baltic Born. Having five attendants, two bridesmaids wore emerald green color, two bridesmaids wore a burnt orange color, and her maid of honor wore a champagne-colored dress. The dresses looked gorgeous together and were the perfect fall color palette! Jeff wore a tan-colored suit from Jos. A Banks. and completing his look with a burnt orange-colored bowtie. His groomsmen wore tan pants, white long-sleeved button-up shirts, and burnt orange suspenders.

They had a simple yet lovely setup for their outdoor fall ceremony. At the beginning of the aisle, there was an arch decorated with orange drapery and flower arrangements, as well as mismatched rugs giving the space a boho feel. Their ceremony was held in front of a large tree with a low hanging branch from which they hung a chandelier. The couple’s fur babies were part of the ceremony, and two of them were draped in floral collars and walked down the aisle by their bridal party.

Tented Wedding Reception in Michigan

The reception followed after capturing their spectacular, just married portraits. They had a big white tent that held their reception space. The ability to decorate a tent beautifully makes tent weddings all the rage right now. Their reception featured a long head table for the wedding party and round tables for their guests. Behind Nicole and Jeff was a wooden backdrop made from pallets and embellished with cafe lights and signs. Their dessert table featured a single-tier naked cake for just the two of them and different flavors of cupcakes for their guests.

It was such a joy to capture this Michigan fall wedding at a private property for such a sweet couple! Check out some of my favorites from their wedding day!
