I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Drake and Megan’s beautiful wedding at Country Club of Jackson MI. Having first met them during their engagement session at Megan’s parent’s home in Clarklake, MI, I knew their wedding day would be a remarkable celebration of love and joy. Laughter and love filled their engagement session, set against the picturesque lake at Megan’s childhood home.

Since this was such a special place for Megan, she got ready at her parent’s house, a place brimming with family history and cherished memories. Megan stood out in her elegant white silk robe as she and her bridesmaids prepared for the day in adorable pink and white striped silk pajamas. Adding a sweet touch to the morning, Megan’s mom also wore matching pajamas with the bridesmaids. Wedding photos of the couple’s parents and grandparents adorned a table in their home, a testament to longstanding love.
The lush greenery and serene lake at Megan’s parents’ home provided a stunning setting for pre-ceremony photos. Megan shared an emotional first look with her dad under the arbor. These intimate moments captured the essence of their close-knit family and set the tone for the rest of the day.
After the touching first look with dad, Megan and her bridesmaids, dressed in various shades of sage green, boarded a charming trolley that whisked them away to one of the best wedding venues Jackson MI. The excitement was surreal as they made their way to The Jackson Country Club. The groomsmen, looking sharp in their navy suits, awaited their arrival, along with the adorable ring bearers in navy pinstripe short outfits and the flower girl, who wore a dress as white as the bride’s.
The Country Club of Jackson MI outdoor wedding ceremony was nothing short of magical. The altar, adorned with gold flower stands and a beautiful array of white, green, and pink flowers, overlooks the golf course, creating a serene and picturesque setting. As Megan walked down the aisle, Drake’s eyes sparkled with love, and the joy and laughter that filled the air made the ceremony truly unforgettable.
After the ceremony, we captured stunning bridal party photos on the golf course. The vibrant greens and open skies provided a perfect backdrop, and the connection and happiness among the bridal party were evident in every shot.
They held the reception in a beautifully tented area, draping café lights around the top of the tent to cast a warm and inviting glow. The tables were adorned with white covers and exquisite floral centerpieces that echoed the day’s theme. The head table, where Drake and Megan sat, featured greenery and a large floral statement piece. Gold Chiavari chairs added a touch of elegance, and tealights flickered softly, creating an enchanting atmosphere.
Drake and Megan wisely chose to cut their cake and have their first dance right at the beginning of the reception, allowing them to relax and enjoy the rest of the evening with their guests.
After dinner and heartfelt toasts, we snuck out for some golden hour photos. The sunset behind the trees of the golf course created a breathtaking backdrop, casting a warm glow over Drake and Megan as they shared quiet moments. These photos are some of my favorites from the day, capturing their pure love and delight.
A highlight of the evening was the live painter, who created a stunning piece of art depicting Drake and Megan at the altar. The final painting overjoyed the couple, serving as a unique keepsake and entertainment for the guests throughout the reception. This art piece will be a cherished reminder of their special day for years to come.
The celebration concluded with the wedding party and guests filling the dance floor, dancing the night away under the twinkling lights. Drake and Megan’s wedding was a beautiful testament to their love, surrounded by family, friends, and unforgettable moments. It was an honor to capture their day and witness the beginning of their next chapter together.
