Imagine Peace Park Engagement Photos | Matt and Ellie

Engagement Photographer Michigan

Engagement sessions are a fun way to celebrate love and capture the exciting time of a couple’s journey. Matt and Ellie, one of my beautiful couples deeply in love, met with me for their Imagine Peace Park engagement photos. Amidst the blooming beauty of spring, we had the prettiest background for their session.

While away on a trip, these two got engaged in Cave Creek, Arizona. The views from where Matt proposed were stunning! Seeing their photos from their proposal made me want an excuse to travel there. Matt custom designed Ellie’s engagement ring from his sketch drawings. He wanted the ring to look like a rose because she loves flowers. It’s amazing how much thought he put into this!

Michigan’s Imagine Peace Park was the first location for their engagement photos. This picturesque venue hosts weddings, bridal showers, and various events. Each corner of this location has been carefully planned, with some of the grounds laid out like chessboards. The cutest love sign sat in the background of an area where cafe lights are strung overhead. It was so romantic to see Ellie and Matt dancing together under the lights. Unexpectedly, the sky opened, and a light drizzle began to fall, but these two were having such fun that they continued to dance! Their carefree spirits and willingness to live in the moment is what I’m all about.

After the rain let up, we discovered a small putt-putt course nestled within the grounds. We, of course, had to take advantage of this fun feature! Their infectious laughter and friendly competition added a playful touch to their engagement photos. Before leaving Imagine Peace Park, the two popped a bottle of champagne and enjoyed a glass. I let them be themselves while they sat on some swings and enjoyed conversation without pressure to pose.

We then made our way to the Mill Race Historical Village. With the charming gazebo and scenic landscapes, this location gave Matt and Ellie a different look for this part of their engagement photos. They also changed into different outfits, giving it a more casual feel. Purple trees bloomed in the distance, giving a pop of color.

I always suggest to my couples that they make a date night out of their engagement session, and Ellie and Matt indeed did! The beauty of their Imagine Peace Park engagement photos was a true testament to their love. From the vibrant spring scenery to their playful moments, every element exuded romance and joy. I loved getting to know these two and can’t wait for their wedding day. Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session!
