Detroit Engagement Photographer
On a beautiful evening, I met up with Jacob and Jennifer for their Detroit Engagement Photos! Getting to meet another 2023 couple was super exciting!
Jennifer and Jacob were so much fun to photograph. Even though this was the first time we met in person, it felt like we were old friends catching up! We all laughed so much during their engagement photos Detroit. Connecting with my wedding couples is super important to me so that they fully trust me and feel comfortable in front of my camera!
Located just minutes from downtown Detroit, William G. Milliken Park was the perfect place to start this photo session. This is just one of my recommendations regarding locations for engagement photos in Detroit! Our favorite spot was under a willow tree, where the sun was peeking through the leaves. For their first outfit, they chose a bright and airy look. Jennifer wore a white dress, while Jacob wore khakis and a muted green shirt.
Once they had taken a few pictures in that outfit, they changed clothes for the next set of pictures. Jacob wore a white button-up shirt with khaki pants, and Jennifer wore a white dress with lace sleeves. We wandered around the harbor for these photos and got some of the boats in the background. One of my favorite features about this park is the lighthouse!
Next, we headed to the Detroit Institute of the Arts for more formal photos. There is nothing like the beautiful architecture of this white marble building to make this a must-see location. These two dressed to impress for these photos in their black, elegant ensembles!
They ended their engagement session by popping a bottle of champagne, which is always a fun idea for your photos. A little pro tip for you: bring two champagne flutes so you can pour some bubbly into the glasses and take a few sips.
I can’t wait for their wedding next year at Cherry Creek Golf Club. Seeing how these two discussed their wedding plans, I know it will be amazing!! Enjoy looking through some of my favorites from their engagement photos until their wedding.
