Wedding at Waldenwoods in Howell, Michigan
It was great being back at one of my favorite Michigan wedding venues for Drew and Rachel’s Waldenwoods Wedding!
We could not have asked for more perfect weather! The sun was shining, and there was hardly a cloud in the sky. Emotions were high for everyone, and I captured some delightful moments throughout the day.
Rachel and Drew met while attending a church gathering. Getting married was such an exciting day for them! Before their ceremony, they shared an intimate first look. When Drew turned around and saw his soon-to-be wife, he was amazed. Rachel was so excited for him to see her dress that she gave him a twirl so he could see all of it. It was so sweet when her father saw her before he walked her down the aisle to the ceremony.
Waldenwoods is a stunning wedding venue in Howell, Michigan. Everything about the location was light and airy, and they loved how timeless it felt. I completely agree with them! The grounds are beautiful for photos, but the reception tent brought in so much light it was amazing.
The ceremony space at Waldenwoods faces a lake, giving you a waterfront ceremony! Their florist did a fantastic job with all of their florals, but the ones for their ceremony were awe-inspiring. She had two separate pieces attached to the arbor and then two floral statement pieces in vases. This ceremony setup was so beautiful!

Taking Waldenwoods wedding photos is one of my favorite things to do! There is something so beautiful about the classic look of the main building. The white columns and chandelier add a romantic touch. We were rewarded with the perfect golden hour by the dreamy glow of the sunset coming through the trees!
Drew and Rachel are so thoughtful and did the sweetest thing for their guests at the reception! At each place setting, they wrote a personal note to the guests who attended the wedding. Notes were enclosed in green envelopes with wooden place tags with each name. It was a really cool idea that I had never seen before, and all of their guests loved it. They had the yummiest-looking dessert bar with various desserts, from cookies and cupcakes to cake pops and cannolis!
The day was filled with joy as two wonderful people became husband and wife! Everything about their wedding day was so beautifully planned. I couldn’t be happier for Rachel and Drew!
