Summer Wedding at Black Star Farms
The sun smiled on Haley and Joseph’s beautiful wedding day at Black Star Farms in Suttons Bay, Michigan. It was the epitome of a perfect summer day for a heartwarming journey of a classic, elegant, and oh-so-romantic celebration.
Haley and Joseph’s love story began through a mutual friend. The same friend that introduced them was in their wedding party! I had the pleasure of meeting with Haley multiple times during the wedding planning process, and it was incredible to see her vision come to life. Every detail reflected their love story and personalities, making it a memorable day. Haley’s sentimental side shone through as she wore her grandma’s bracelet, a cherished family heirloom she wore back in the 1950’s. It was a touching symbol of love and continuity.
Vineyards are a favorite place for Haley and Joseph to visit, so getting married in one was a dream come true for Haley. The Black Star Farms wedding ceremony site boasts the most breathtaking view overlooking the vineyard. It was a picture-perfect backdrop for their vows, adding a touch of elegance and rustic charm to their special day. This spectacular site allows for various ceremony setups and event options, making outdoor ceremonies a dream come true.
Before the ceremony and outdoor festivities, portraits of the wedding party, the couple, and the first look between the bride and groom took place inside the charming Inn by the grand staircase.
Black Star Farms Michigan is a 160-acre winery estate on the scenic Leelanau Peninsula, providing the perfect setting for Haley and Joseph’s special day. The Pegasus Barn, a true centennial barn, was the backdrop for their reception. Its rustic charm, original barn wood walls, and solid wood floors created a stunning atmosphere for their ceremony, reception, and unforgettable first dances. The maximum capacity of the barn was 150 guests, and it was a favorite for many due to its versatility.
Haley and Joseph were determined to actively participate in the cocktail hour with their guests, crafting intimate moments that will forever hold a cherished place in their hearts. And what’s a celebration without delicious treats? Their donut tower and a cake with a surprise donut inside added a sweet touch to the festivities.
Haley and Joseph’s wedding was a true testament to love, family, and the beauty of vineyard romance. As their Michigan wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing these priceless moments amidst the stunning setting of Black Star Farms.
