Engagement Photos at Detroit Institute of Arts
It was a freezing cold day for these Detroit Institute of Arts engagement photos. But the cold didn’t stop Olivia and Austin from having a beautiful connection during their session!
Austin and Olivia met through her brother. Austin was good friends with him, and they were interested in each other. They didn’t start dating right away because it took her brother a while to get on board with their relationship! It’s a good thing he did because they are madly in love. They were full of joy and so much fun to be around from the moment I met them!
The Detroit Institute of Arts made the perfect location for their engagement session! When it’s wintertime here in Michigan, it’s gloomy and cold. But this location has beautiful architecture that gives a light and airy background for their photos.
I can only imagine how stunning a wedding at The Detroit Institute of Arts would be! They’ve got many options around the space where you can have your ceremony and reception. The inside of the building is just as majestic as the outside! The interior of the building hosts one of the most significant art displays in the United States. This site is actually the second location of the museum. The building’s exterior is a low-rise marble structure renovated three times since its origination in 1923.
Olivia and Austin are such a fun couple and had a champagne toast during their session, which was one of my favorite moments of their engagement photos! Both of the outfits they wore looked beautiful against the coloring of the building. Even though we were freezing, these two were troopers! The love they share warmed my heart and reminded me how amazing it is to be a Michigan wedding photographer!
It was great to meet these two for their DIA engagement photos! There are excellent spots around Detroit for engagement sessions, and I would love to serve more couples around this area!
