It was a hot July day for LeCette and Ryan’s Wedding at The Northfork Estate. But, the excitement didn’t stop because these two had been waiting to get married for a long time!
LeCette and Ryan met while they were in high school in 2008. Fast forward a few years after graduating, and they each met up with mutual friends. LeCette’s best friend is good friends with Ryan’s roommate, so the four of them started hanging out as a group. They officially started dating in 2015 and have been together ever since!
This Michigan wedding venue is simply stunning and one of my favorites! The Northfork Estate has 50 private acres. With its seven ponds and beautiful landscaping, the venue provides endless opportunities for breathtaking wedding portraits.
Ryan and LeCette were originally planning to marry in July 2020 but had to postpone the ceremony due to covid. Their initial wedding venue had to close, leaving them to search for a location again. When they found The Northfork Estate, they immediately fell in love with all it offered! Having the wedding ceremony and reception in the same place was convenient for them.
Because of the postponement of their wedding, we had been working together for over two years. By the time their big day arrived, we had become good friends! I love creating a connection and friendship with my couples.
LeCette looked radiant in her illusion neckline wedding gown and cathedral-length veil with lace detailing at the bottom. Light pink roses and greenery made up her wedding bouquet.
Once Ryan and LeCette were ready for their big day, they shared an intimate first look between the two of them. Upon seeing each other for the first time, they had big smiles on their faces and were so excited to get married. I love when my couples decide to have a first look, but it’s even more special when it’s just the two of them and no one else around. This moment was by far one of my favorites of the day!
A wooden arch adorned with flowers served as the center of their wedding ceremony at The Northfork Estate, which faced one of the ponds. A violinist provided music for the bridal party processional, and it was simply beautiful. While LeCette was walking down the aisle, tears filled Ryan’s eyes. The ceremony was very emotional as both Ryan and LeCette wrote their vows and read them during the ceremony.
The indoor reception has a rustic ambiance that fills the venue. They had a three-tier naked wedding cake adorned with roses and greenery, along with cupcakes. Ryan and LeCette shared their first dance together and then with close family members. After the flower and garter toss, they danced the night away.
It was great to celebrate this amazing couple finally! Two years is a long time to wait for a wedding, but it was well worth the wait. Here are some of my favorites from their wedding at The Northfork Estate!
