Midland MI Wedding in Spring | Michael + Kristina

Wedding Photos in Midland MI
Kristina and Michael’s Midland MI wedding took place on a lovely March afternoon, and from the first moments of the day, it was clear how thoughtfully everything had been planned. From the moment I arrived at Midland Country Club, I knew this wedding would be one I’d never forget.
Our day began in the women’s lounge of Midland Country Club, where Kristina was getting ready surrounded by her closest friends and her mother. Getting into her dress with the help of her mom was a meaningful moment for Kristina before the excitement of the day took off. One of the most touching details was the bow from her mother’s wedding dress, carefully sewn into her gown as a subtle, meaningful tribute. She had the words “Love forever” embroidered on her veil, a phrase her father always said to her mother. It also included their names and wedding date. Each of these personal touches helped tell their story in a genuine and meaningful way.
Before heading to the ceremony, Kristina shared a first look with her dad. It was one of the most emotional moments of the day. Tears welled up, but smiles quickly followed them as he saw his little girl in her wedding dress. She gifted him a handkerchief that read, “Daddy, I’ll forever be your Kristina Ballerina…”—a keepsake he’ll cherish forever. Capturing the pride in his eyes was one of those quiet moments that remind me why I love being a Midland MI wedding photographer. It’s the smaller details that make each wedding feel personal and unforgettable.
Their ceremony took place at the elegant Trinity Lutheran Church in Midland, MI, adorned with a white aisle runner and pews dressed in baby’s breath and soft white tulle. Kristina’s bridesmaids wore pale yellow dresses, each in a unique style that reflected their personalities. The groomsmen looked sharp in classic suits, and several, alongside Michael, wore their Army uniforms. Their flower girl wore a white dress and baby’s breath crown, mirroring Kristina’s look, while the ring bearer matched the groomsmen in a tiny tuxedo.
Kristina walked down the aisle with her father. After exchanging sincere vows, Kristina and Michael shared a kiss beneath a dramatic saber arch, a tradition carried out by Michael’s Army friends.
After the ceremony, we captured portraits of the couple and their wedding party before heading back to Midland Country Club, where the elegant St. Andrews Ballroom awaited. With its panoramic views of the golf course and space for up to 300 guests, it provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of celebration.
Baby’s breath and white linens surrounded Kristina and Michael’s sweetheart table. The couple set their guest tables with gold charger plates, white linens, glass candle holders, and delicate white floral accents. The overall look was simple, sophisticated, and glowing with charm.
The reception kicked off with genuine toasts, followed by cake cutting and traditional first dances. As the evening unfolded, the dance floor filled with laughter and music as everyone celebrated the couple’s new life together.
Kristina and Michael’s wedding was a stunning celebration, and I was honored to capture every meaningful detail as their Midland MI wedding photographer. If you’re planning a Midland MI wedding, I’d love to hear your story and help you capture it in a way that’s true to you.
