It was a beautiful June day for Rachel and Zach’s Venue3Two Wedding. Originally a 700-acre cattle ranch, this historic venue provided the perfect setting for an unforgettable day.
The morning began in the bright and airy bridal suite, where Rachel and her bridesmaids wore adorable matching pajamas. The suite, with its plentiful windows and full-length mirror, was the perfect spot for capturing those special getting-ready moments. Rachel’s bridesmaids helped her into her gorgeous gown, and once she was ready, Rachel made her way down the mansion’s beautiful spiral staircase. I captured some truly stunning portraits of her in this elegant space before she headed outside to meet Zach for their first look.
The first look was a magical moment. Outside the mansion, Rachel and Zach saw each other for the first time that day, and their joy was evident. They shared hugs, kisses, and huge smiles, making heartwarming photos. We then took some beautiful couple portraits on the lush grounds of Venue3Two Grand Rapids, incorporating a vintage blue car that added a fun, nostalgic touch to their photos. The car provided a unique element for their portraits and was perfect for capturing candid moments of the couple enjoying a little stroll.
The bridesmaids, dressed in light blush pink dresses with varying necklines and backs, joined the groomsmen and the couple for portraits in front of the historic venue. The florals, in shades of blush pink, cream, and sage green, adorned the bridal party and added a soft, romantic touch to the entire scene.
As the ceremony approached, Rachel and Zach gathered in front of a beautifully decorated arbor for the outdoor wedding. The floral arrangements on the arbor matched Rachel’s bouquet, seamlessly tying together the ceremony’s aesthetic. A particularly touching moment was the table set up in memory of Rachel’s best friend, who had passed away, symbolizing their friendship.
Rachel and Zach’s ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments, especially when they linked pinkies while saying their vows, each shedding tears of joy. They also included a sand unity ceremony, signifying their union. After the ceremony, guests blew bubbles as the newlyweds exited.
The celebration continued indoors at The Conservatory, the newest addition to Venue3Two Grand Rapids. This spacious, light-filled reception area was the perfect setting for their vibrant reception. The large windows let natural light flood in, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Rachel’s dad and stepmom surprised everyone with a flash mob from the Opera House Grand Rapids. This surprise brought Rachel to tears with their unexpected performance.
During the reception, guests enjoyed a variety of treats from the dessert bar alongside the wedding cake. Neon glowsticks added a playful touch, lighting up the dance floor as everyone celebrated Rachel and Zach’s love. In the soft, romantic light of the setting sun, the couple took a brief break from the festivities to capture some stunning golden hour photos.
