The sun may not have been shining, but the love and joy at Peter and Austyn’s Bear Creek Farm Michigan wedding made it a day to remember! Despite the chilly, rainy, and very windy weather, the warmth of their love and the beauty of their celebration shone through.

I’ve had the privilege of photographing their family for several years now, and it feels like just yesterday we were doing their Michigan State Capitol engagement photos. That warm fall day was so much fun, filled with laughter as we began with a picnic in the park, and then transitioned to more formal photos against the stunning backdrop of the Capitol building.

Austyn’s first look with her bridesmaids was a moment of pure magic. None of them had seen her bridal gown, and their jaws dropped in awe at how beautiful she looked. The love between Austyn and her dad was apparent during their first look, which was a truly special and heartwarming moment.

One of the most touching aspects of the day was the inclusion of Peter and Austyn’s two sons. It was evident that having them be a part of their big day meant the world to them.

As guests arrived at the venue, they were greeted by Bear Creek Farm Event Barn’s rustic charm. The unique site was stunning against the backdrop of 70 acres of rolling hills and weeping willows. The venue’s unique ambiance was the perfect setting for Austyn and Peter’s wedding celebration.

The ceremony, held outside on the patio pavilion at Bear Creek Farm Event Barn, was heartfelt and intimate. The florists did an incredible job bringing Austyn’s boho vision to life, with stunning arrangements in neutrals, terracotta, and dusty green perfectly complementing the rustic charm of the barn venue.

During the reception, Peter and his mother had a particularly touching moment. Their time together was special for everyone to witness, highlighting the importance of family and love.

As the night went on, there was plenty of laughter, fun, and dancing with everyone, including their sons, on the dance floor. It was evident that everyone was having so much fun celebrating the newlyweds!
