It was one of the hottest days of the year for Sam and Sarah’s summer wedding in Lansing!

Sarah and Sam were high school sweethearts. They’ve dreamt of their big day for years, and it was apparent how much these two loved each other! Both of them enjoy the outdoors together and taking on new adventures. One of their favorite things to do together is riding quads.

Over the past five years, Sarah and I have become good friends, so I was excited for her wedding day! Sarah wore a stunning Maggie Sottero gown with lace detailing that was gorgeous. As part of her bouquet, she attached a beautiful pin passed down from her grandmother.

As Sarah’s mom was helping her with the final touches, she got emotional over how beautiful her daughter looked. Once she was ready, we lined her bridesmaids up for a first look. Even though they had already seen her dress on the hanger, it still brought excitement and tears of joy when they turned around to see her. The bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses from Azazie. They wore a pretty mauve color, Sarah’s favorite color, and she wanted to incorporate it into the wedding colors.

Before Sarah walked down the aisle, she shared a first look with her father. When he turned around and saw how magnificent she looked, his smile grew wide. Sarah and Sam had an intimate ceremony with close family and friends. As part of their day to become one, they shared in a unity ceremony where they poured different sand colors into a vase to show their unification.

The scenery at Woldumar Nature Center is beautiful. I took the newlyweds to a field of wildflowers that was breathtaking! The lighting was perfect, and these two were naturals in front of the camera. Golden hour provided us with a stunning sunset glow.
